Completed (2024)A 640-bed private hospital campus with 118,000 m² of covered area.
The 640-bed hospital campus built turnkey in Ankara for a private healthcare group has 118,000 square metres of covered area, 14 operating theatres and 90 intensive care beds. The project was completed in 26 months and opened in 2024.
The most critical issue in hospital buildings is the mechanical and electrical infrastructure; medical gas, hygienic ventilation, generator and UPS systems were coordinated on the BIM model so that clashes were eliminated before construction. Seismic isolators were used in the structural system for earthquake safety.
Process
The rough structure was completed in 11 months, and finishes and medical equipment infrastructure in 15 months. Particle and pressure tests for the operating theatres and intensive care areas were certified by independent bodies.
Quality and OHS
Weekly progress reports, monthly payment certificate files and accredited laboratory test results were shared with the employer on the project. An OHS specialist worked on site full time, and daily risk assessment and pre-shift safety briefings were applied.
