Turnkey (EPC) Contracting

Engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning in one contract

Turnkey (EPC) Contracting

One counterpart, a fixed price and a guaranteed schedule: we take responsibility from design to start of operations.

Fixed price

In the turnkey (EPC) model, engineering, procurement and construction are combined into a single contract. The employer is relieved of the burden of design, tendering and coordination and gains certainty on budget and schedule. We gain efficiency because we can manage all the disciplines on site towards the same goal.

Advantages for the employer in EPC

  • One contract, one counterpart: clear allocation of responsibility
  • Fixed price and delay assurance (guarantee and liquidated damages)
  • A shorter schedule with engineering and construction running in parallel
  • Commissioning including performance tests and training

How we work

In the first stage the employer's needs and budget parameters are clarified in a 'Concept Design and Price Proposal' file. After the contract, the basic engineering, detail engineering, procurement and construction phases are tied to the payment schedule. The employer's approval is obtained at the end of each phase.

For suitable projects we work with banks and export credit agencies on financing solutions.

Our proposal process

When you share the scope and location of your project, our engineers hold a free preliminary meeting and send you the survey and approximate cost framework within 2 working days. Construction drawings and the ground study are sufficient for a detailed proposal.

Scope of service

  • One contract, one counterpart
  • Fixed price and schedule assurance
  • Performance tests included
  • Financing solutions
