Three generations on site: infrastructure, buildings and industrial plants since 1988
The history, management approach and values of Sarpkaya Contracting.
Sarpkaya Contracting was founded in 1988 in Ankara by civil engineer Orhan Sarpkaya as a small road and bridge contractor, starting with one machine and twelve workers. Its first job was a 14-kilometre village road and two culverts in Central Anatolia. What has not changed since is the principle of finishing the job in the promised time, quality and budget.
Expanding into irrigation and drinking water networks in the 1990s and into organised industrial zone infrastructure and industrial steel structures in the 2000s, the firm has become a construction and engineering group with 1,900 employees, 380 machines, six concrete plants and its own steel workshop, able to run 25 – 30 projects at the same time.
Our ISO 9001 quality, ISO 14001 environmental and ISO 45001 occupational health and safety management systems are audited every year by independent bodies. Our contractor's licence and all quality certificates are published on the Documents page.
We prioritise local employment where our sites are, and each year offer training to 120 interns from vocational high schools. Our scholarship programme is aimed at employees' children and students of villages around our sites.
93% of completed projects were delivered within the contract period.
A full-time OHS specialist and daily risk analysis on every site.
Independent capacity with 380 machines and 6 concrete plants.
Structural, mechanical, electrical and quantity surveying under one roof.
Waste management, dust and noise control under ISO 14001.
Weekly progress, monthly payment certificates and cost reports are shared with the client.
